Aroben's Journal

Character Info

Name: Aroben Theya

Race: Drow (Dark Elf)

Class: Warlock

Subclass: The Fiend

Alignment: True Neutral

Aroben is an easily angered teenage drow who had his soul assigned to a demon's pact against his will.

More info... While Aroben was still in his mother's womb, she and Aroben's father summoned a demon by the name of Azazel to asign their unborn son a pact with the demon so they could reap the rewards themselves with no loss, unfortunately for them, their evil deeds were found out rather quickly.

Once the child was at the age of 2 the family was banished from the kingdom of Eldlon, and Aroben was taken in by the Church of Helm.

Aroben has now been raised by the church's people, Aroben now lives with deep resentment both towards his parents and also the church for their constant attempts to 'fix' him. During this he's also had to follow the rules of the pact made against his will, such as never truly praising another deity and gifting some of his blood once per-week.

DAY 1

This morning I was forcibly awoken by my caretaker, I was informed that I would FINALLY be allowed to explore the town more, but, unfortunately I have to be accompanied by a guard the entire time.

His name being Garrett.

As I dragged myself out of bed, seeing the town for the first time since probably I was a child, I was shocked when Garrett told me that he's gonna try to be as hands-off as possible. Even letting me choose where I wanted to go, I'm, I'm actually very shocked.

Regardless...

We first went to an armory, one that apparently Garrett is already known as a regular, I guess that makes sense, I assume he's part of our military.

He gave me a nudge, saying I can pick out anything I want and he'll pay for it, I was estatic.

I quickly began browsing the daggers, I have a hand-made one but it's flimsy.

What caught my eye was a radiant dagger, radiant is definitely, far from my specialty, so it'd be nice to have.

Garrett nodded and payed for the dagger for me.

Did you know? Oppositional Defiant Disorder is an incredibly questionable medical diagnosis, what was supposed to be a signifier that a child needs psychological help has been turned into short-hand for a child being difficult and must be punished, children with ODD being extremely likely to develop further mental health issues later in life.
You cannot punish a child into becoming what you want.
